We are two Australians from Melbourne who are exploring (parts of) the world by bicycle. 


Our intentions in undertaking this journey are to learn about different cultures, meet new people, challenge ourselves, strengthen our relationship and, of course, experience the world!

Shanna was born in Newcastle and has also spent time living in Sydney and the Central Coast of NSW; while Sam has lived in Melbourne most of his life. 

Cycling has always been part of Sam's life but Shanna let a childhood fall keep her off the bike until late 2008. Since jumping back on (or being persuaded back on by Sam) she hasn't looked back.

We've both done a Bachelor of Arts - Shanna in Communication Studies - and we are avid readers of literature, history and wikipedia. 

The years before our cycle tour were spent working, renovating a large house in Melbourne and finding time to cycle and hike. 

We love the beach and miss our dog Boston! (Thanks Mum and Dad Evans for looking after him for us!)
